Lift Up Coffee Table

A lift up coffee table can be used for so many purposes that it should almost be qualified as something other than mere furniture.

With dual purposes and so many styles and designs you can find the coffee table with lift up to fit your personal taste and style.

Style

What kind of style do you seek? Are you traditional or modern? You can find lift up coffee tables in glass, wood, metal, or stone. If you favor a more traditional look a darker wood color would be perfect. If you favor a more modern look you could try a brighter plastic table or a glass topped table. The possibilities are almost endless.

Whatever style you choose remember that your table is the centerpiece of the room. When anyone enters the living space where you have your coffee table sitting they will first notice the coffee table. It is the core of the room. It is the centerpiece for which the rest of the furniture flows around. Think of it as the “eye of the hurricane.” You should be aware of your own style and décor and find a lift up coffee table that matches it. Whatever the dominant color in your room is what the color of the coffee table should be. You don’t want to have it clash or it will completely ruin the flow of your space.

The Size

The size of the coffee table with lift up top is going to be determined by the functionality you seek and the size of the furniture you plan on putting it in front of. So the best way to know how long your table should be is to get some measuring tape, a ruler, or a yardstick and measure the sofa or other piece of furniture you plan on putting the coffee table in front of. Once you have that measurement you’ll know exactly how long the table should be.

The width should be determined by what you plan on doing with the table. Do you plan on using it for it’s functionality or do you plan on using it solely for the aesthetic value. If you plan on using it merely for the visual aspect then you probably want it to be a bit thinner. This way it doesn’t take up too much space but it’s still pretty. However if you plan on using it for its functionality then you should find a wider lift up coffee table.
