There are many different styles of coffee table available on the market, but there are none that is quite as classy and polished as the artistic Isamu Noguchi table.

Having developed the table’s concept in 1944 and then seen in professional offices since 1948, this table is simplicity itself.

Designed by sculptor Isamu Noguchi, his signature coffee table is an elegant three piece table.

The top is roughly pie-shaped with soft, rounded edges made of three-quarter inch plate glass.

The bottom is a free form style sculpture and the two legs lock into each other to form a sturdy tripod base.

The table’s dimensions are 15-3/4 inches high, 50 inches wide and 36” deep, and the base comes in black walnut, cherry, or walnut.

This design came out of a drawing Noguchi had made that was used in a magazine article about building tables.

Each Isamu table holds the sculptors signature somewhere on the base.

It is in a discreet place that, after purchasing, only the owner can probably find, and it is the proof of authenticity that each one of these stylish coffee tables carries.

The original manufacturer of this table is Herman Miller, and the Herman Miller Furniture chain offers a one year warranty on the product.
