Beat 'Em Or Just Serve Some Hot Beverages From Your Drums As Coffee Tables...

Drums as coffee tables are a unique twist on a ubiquitous piece of furniture.

Using drums will definitely set a rockin’ tone to your home décor. Not to mention the fact that you’ll have the most unique coffee table in your neighborhood…

Maybe even in the whole town!

Why Drums As Coffee Tables?

Most people know that a drum is a musical instrument. A lot of people, but not most, know that a drum is a percussion instrument. And most people did not and do not know that a drum is technically classified as a membranophone.

It’s classified in this manner because drums consist of a drum skin (the membrane) that is stretched over the body (or shell) of the drum and hit or struck with a part of the body or another piece (normally a drumstick).

The world’s oldest instrument with a basic design that has remained unchanged for many, many (thousands) years. They have no definite pitch, so they do not need to be tuned (a contributing factor to the popularity of drums) and can be combined with different sizes to create a drum set.

Using drums as coffee tables can reflect a certain passion for music or a passion for the unique. If you have a musical themed room then no other instrument would fit the bill like drums would. It is the perfect choice. They’re flat and can be arranged to almost any height.

They’d make a perfect coffee table.

A Long History

Drums have been used throughout human history for many different things. They have been used for communication over great differences. In Africa they have something called “talking drums” that imitate speech patterns of different languages and therefore can be used to communicate to far away villages.

Japanese troops have been using drums (Taiko drums) for many years to motivate and inspire their military personnel. They also use these drums to issue orders and set a marching pace.

Swiss mercenary soldiers also use drums that they carried over the right soldier. This is the first instrument that the word “drum” was used for.

The world’s oldest known drums date back to 6000 BC!

Where To Find Drums To Use As Coffee Tables

Using drums as coffee tables is a great idea. But how do you find them? Easy. You probably aren’t going to find them in a furniture store. And you probably won’t find them at the local mall either. Your best bet is to seek out a music superstore or a small music shop near you.

You can also look online to find some music stores so that you could simply order the drum set you want and have it shipped directly to you. No hassle, no worry. Just point, click, order and wait for it to arrive!
